Ashab al-kahf (Cave of the seven sleepers)

Ever heard of Mersin? If no, you're not alone. Many people haven't. Mersin and the area of Mezitli within the city is known also as Viransehir which means ruined city, as you'll find roman ruins whilst walking and driving around the city. We were not meant to stop here on our road trip, but had to make a stop after seeing the ruins above. And by the way, the stretch of road from Alanya to Mersin through the mountain roads is absolutely phenomenal but scaaary!

Make sure you take the cable car up on your visit to the Alanya Castle. The views are just stunning, with the Kleopatra beach on your left and city views on your right. Once at the top you get amazing views of the other side of the city.
